There a lot of abandoned elders in our community ,some have lost families or didn't have children ,others have been affected by tribal wars and they really can't work to satisfy their needs.

Our Elderly care project is majorly to support all elders through family based care and medical treatment.

We currently support 4 elders..

we would like to have fan with our elders learn more from each other and strengthen our relationship with them,

usually we visit them and cook some food, help them in general hygiene ,its really interesting when it comes to story telling and sharing a variety of fruits with them.

our goal is to build an elderly care center.
The older you get,the more you tell it like it used to be.

Iam Wakoko Charles,i don't know my accurate age but i think its approximately 91 and above,I was born in Busano,Mbale district .

I was breast fed and raised by my anut after my mother passed away, dad kept me with my anut until when i stoped breast feeding ,later on i lost dad and had to find my new relatives then shifted to sironko district during early 1950s where i stayed with my uncles, started my family ,married and gave birth to children.Unfortunetly lost my wife during early 2000s.

I got injured  during some work of offloading sand from a truck but had no good medical treatment at home so my leg was cut off in hospital.

Currently iam staying with my Son's family and my grand children ,i now do farming as my work.
