There a lot of abandoned elders in our community ,some have lost families or didn't have children ,others have been affected by tribal wars and they really can't work to satisfy their needs.
Our Elderly care project is majorly to support all elders through family-based care.
we would like to have fan with our elders learn more from each other and strengthen our relationship with them,
usually we visit them and cook some food, help them in general hygiene ,its really interesting when it comes to story telling and sharing a variety of fruits with them.
our goal is to build an elderly care center.
The older you get,the more you tell it like it used to be.
FINA NAFUNA

The Late Wakoko Charles conversation with us when we met him,
"i don't know my accurate age, but I think it's approximately 91 and above. I was born in Busano, Mbale district.
I was breastfed and raised by my aunt after my mother passed away. Dad kept me with my aunt until I stopped breastfeeding. Later on, I lost my dad and had to find my new relatives, then shifted to Sironko district during the early 1950s, where I stayed with my uncles, started my family, married, and gave birth to children. Unfortunately, i lost my wife during early 2000s.
I got injured during some work of offloading sand from a truck but had no good medical treatment at home so my leg was cut off in the hospital.
Currently iam staying with my Son's family and my grandchildren,i now do farming as my work."
